Parental Responsibilities

Each family is expected to take an active role in the classoom and in the functioning of the co-op as a whole. Our community of families and teachers working together gives our co-op strength and a sense of ownership. Each family is responsible for:

• Working in the classroom a minimum of once a week per child enrolled.


• Attending monthly membership meetings, and weekly 20 minute parent-teacher seminars.


• Providing nutritious snack for class once a month.


• Participating in fundraising on a direct level to raise a minimum of $135 per family annually. A variety of fundraisers are held throughout the year.


• Fulfilling the responsibilities of one or more support jobs.


• Participating in two yard days per year to maintain and upgrade our facility.
